Double Program
WoMAN & WOMAN 1.1 are two solo works presented as a double program. Side by side these two performances blend physical theatre and dance into a wild and visual experience. WoMAN and WOMAN 1.1 are directed and choreographed by Andreas Constantinou.
WOMAN
WoMAN is a 40 minute solo performed by Andreas Constantinou. This poetic work uses a rich visual language to invoke a lucid landscape of queer feminine architypes. From the virgin to the crone, between animal and human, images unfold as the performer embarks onto a transformative journey.WOMAN 1.1
WOMAN 1.1 is a 45 minute solo performed by Alice Tatge. High heels beat into the floor as she runs at endurance speeds under a set of micrphones. Every foot step becomes a reclamation of space, of sound and of stance . Raw and confrontational, this solo challenges social concepts of the feminine. Back to back these two solos’ serve as a platform for displaying two different perspectives and relationships to the feminine. The two performances have toured together and independently from the other.Awards & Nominations
