AUDITION NOTICE

 

Himherandit Productions is looking for 3 experienced female physical theatre performers / dancers to be involved in the creation and presentation of The WOMANhouse.

 

The three selected performers will tackle subjects of male gender and masculinity in this new creation. The work will be choreographed and directed by Andreas Constantinou who will lead the creative and investigative process towards a crafted production that will ultimately witness the transformation of female performers into “MEN” for the stage.

 

Applicants must be familiar with physical theatre expressions, improvisation, text and voice work, be comfortable with nudity and be willing to change appearance for performance/process. (This includes; cutting hair and working with male identities). Applicants should have a general interest in the theme of GENDER and have researched the artist’s work before hand.

Selected applicants will be invited to a 2-day audition in Aarhus, Denmark on the 12th-13th of November 2014.

 

Applicants are responsible for their own accommodation in Aarhus during the 2 day audition.
