TALKING GENDERS

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROJECTS

Talking GENDERS community engagement projects are intensive artistic development programs for young talents between the ages of 17-28. The programs offer creative workshops, artistic mentoring, social discussions and the presentation of the talents own work in a professional art venue.

Each Talking GENDERS project recruits young talents to participate in a month long intensive development program. During the program the participants attend workshops in: Photography, Live-Art Practice, Video art, and Creative Writing. The workshops are led by guest artists who are all experts in interdisciplinary artforms. Along side the workshops each participant is assigned artistic mentors by HIMHERANDIT Productions. The artistic mentors offer support in the development of the talents artworks around themes of gender, sexuality and identity.

At the end of the month program all the talents get to exhibit their work in a professional art venue.

Talking GENDERS has held engagement projects and exhibitions at Bora Bora - dans og visuelt teater (DK), Le Manifest (FR), The Archieve Gallery (UK), and And What Queer Arts Festival (UK), Kvinde Musuem (DK).
